Harvest Dating LLC (“Harvest,” “we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights when using the Harvest mobile app, website, and services (the “Service”).

By using Harvest, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

1. What We Collect

We collect only what we need to operate, improve, and secure Harvest.

A. Information You Provide

Account Info
→ Name, email, date of birth, gender, location, and selected traits (“What I Bring” and “What I Need”).

Profile Content → Photos, “About Me” blurbs, values, and optional details you choose to share.

Messages → Conversations with other users are not stored unless flagged, reported, or required for moderation.

Purchases → Payment details are handled securely by Apple App Store or Google Play; Harvest does not store your credit card information.

B. Data Collected Automatically

Device & Usage Info → IP address, device type, app version, crash logs, and limited usage data to optimize performance and security.

Photo Screening → Profile photos are automatically scanned to ensure they comply with Harvest’s Photo Standards (clear face visibility, no weapons, no explicit imagery).

Mindful Messaging Screening → Outgoing user messages are automatically scanned in real time for harmful or unsafe content, including harassment, threats, hate speech, or explicit abuse:

  • Flagged messages may be paused or blocked before delivery.

  • Flagged content is not stored unless reported or requires moderation review.

C. Gardener Conversations

The Gardener, Harvest’s virtual dating coach, helps you process, reflect, and explore patterns in your dating journey:

  • Ephemeral Chats → All Gardener conversations are deleted permanently after 24 hours.

  • No Storage → Harvest does not reuse or analyze Gardener chats.

  • Optional Context → If you invite The Gardener to analyze a match or chat, only the relevant context you select is temporarily processed and then discarded.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to:

  • Operate, personalize, and improve the Service

  • Deliver values-based compatibility through AI Match

  • Provide reflective insights via The Gardener (when invited)

  • Support safety through Mindful Messaging

  • Respond to reports and enforce our Terms of Service

  • Maintain app stability, security, and compliance

  • Process purchases through app stores

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

3. Mindful Messaging & Reporting

  • Automated Screening → Outgoing messages are scanned for prohibited content and may be paused or blocked.

  • Human Review → If a message or user is reported, Harvest may temporarily access the relevant chat to investigate.

  • Limited Retention → Reported messages are stored only as long as needed to resolve the report or comply with legal obligations.

  • No Bulk Monitoring → We do not read or store all private messages by default — only reported or flagged content is reviewed.

4. Sharing of Data

We do not sell your data. We only share it when necessary:

  • Service Providers → Vendors who provide infrastructure, analytics, security, and payment processing.

  • Legal Compliance → If required by law, subpoena, or government request.

  • Safety Emergencies → To prevent imminent harm to you or others.

  • App Stores → Purchases and billing are processed securely by Apple or Google Play.

5. How We Protect Your Data

We design Harvest to minimize data exposure:

  • Encryption → Sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

  • Minimal Retention → Gardener chats are deleted after 24 hours; flagged content stored only as long as needed.

  • Access Limits → Only authorized personnel review reported content, and only when required.

6. Your Privacy Choices

  • Update Your Profile → Edit traits, photos, and preferences anytime in your settings.

  • Delete Your Account → Permanently removes your profile and data except where retention is required for safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

  • Data Access & Export → Email support@dateharvest.com to request your stored data under applicable laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

  • Limit Processing → Contact us to restrict how your data is used in certain situations.

7. Data Retention

Data Type: Gardener Chats

Retention: Deleted after 24 hours

Purpose: Privacy & confidentiality

Data Type: User Messages

Retention: Not stored unless flagged/reported

Purpose: Safety & moderation

Data Type: Reported Messages

Retention: Until investigation resolved

Purpose: Community protection

Data Type: Account Data

Retention: Until deletion request or closure

Purpose: Service delivery

8. User Safety & Mindful Messaging

Harvest offers safety tools but cannot guarantee a risk-free environment.

  • Automated Mindful Messaging → Harmful or abusive language may be blocked before delivery.

  • Report & Block → Instantly report unsafe messages or block unwanted users.

  • Reflect With The Gardener 🌿 → Process difficult interactions privately before deciding next steps.

  • Limitations → No system is perfect; unsafe messages or images may still appear. Always trust your instincts and use the tools available.

9. Children’s Privacy

Harvest is not for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we learn a minor account exists, we delete it immediately.

10. No Guarantees

Harvest provides tools to foster safer, intentional connections, but we cannot and do not guarantee:

  • That you will find a match, relationship, or outcome

  • That every harmful message, profile, or image will be caught

  • That your emotional or physical safety is fully protected

You are responsible for your interactions and decisions, both online and offline.

11. International Users

If you use Harvest outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy protections may differ from local laws.

12. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app, via email, or both. Continued use of Harvest after updates constitutes acceptance.
